Summer 2011 -
My husband and I stayed in the Mallard Room for our four day
stay. I must say the pictures really don't do this charming
beach cottage justice! Our spic and span room was spacious and
the entire B&B was tastefully decorated in a way that promoted
relaxation and peace.
Carolyn, the Inn Keeper is a gracious hostess and overflowing
with fantastic information on all the best places and must see
locations of the Outer Banks. Breakfast was a delicious
continental spread with fruit, juices, coffee, several bagel
flavors to choose from and jams. We will be back!
Built in 1989 by The Ball Family, The Sleeping Duck is located
in the quaint Village of Duck, N.C. We are minutes away from
local shopping centers and restaurants whether you are walking,
driving, or riding a bike. This charming and spacious bed and
breakfast is just off of Duck Rd, across the street from the
"Welcome to Duck" sign with the hand-carved duck. The Atlantic
Ocean is roughly a fifteen minute walk from our front door, with
a secluded access to the Currituck Sound just over the hill
behind us.
